He holds a Bachelor of Business degree with double majors in Accounting and Finance from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, obtained in 1996. Mr. Faam is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), as well as a member of CPA Australia. He is also a registered Company Auditor, holding a practising certificate issued by the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.

In addition to his professional practice, Mr. Faam serves as an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Wegmans Holdings Berhad, a public company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.
